SLP - Five on-line meetings on the theme "Analytic Practice and its Lacanian Orientation". Fifth meeting: "The Analytic Act".
On 28th of February 2020, the Scuola Lacaniana di Psicoanalisi organised the fifth meeting of "Analytical Practice and its Lacanian Orientation" entitled "The Analytic Act". Rosa Elena Manzetti reminds us how psychoanalysis returns to what it has never ceased to be, an act yet to come. She reminds us that psychoanalysis depends on the analytic act, which is present both in the entry into analysis and at its end. To speak of the analytic act concerns the function of the analyst and questions its impact on the psychoanalytic operation. Domenico Cosenza takes up the key elements of the concept of the "analytic act" in Lacan's teaching in order to interrogate its status in the current situation, characterised by the pandemic and the limitations regarding the possibility of the encounter. He also moves on to the political theme of the "acts of the School" which have relaunched a new work in the analytic community. The meeting concludes with Éric Laurent's commentary and resumption of the theme.
