Identity is not Identification. It is simply, Identity ? Identity eludes the parlêtre. In the discourse of the Master, we are asked to declare it. In fact, is it declared as is done with theName-of-the Father? And at the same time, is it fragmented? Let's start since the beginning: "I am". Seventh Class: "Lives Adrift of the Subject of Language or Feeling of Ex-sist of the Parlêtre?"
By Marie-Hélène Brousse
Established by: Rosana Montani
Marie-Hélène Brousse develops in this class the "I am" in relation to "Being missing". Language subjects are "drifting lives" says Lacan in his speech to J. Hopkins University in Baltimore. What is this sense of life? Lacan speaks of this in "On a Question Prior to Any Possible Treatment of Psychosis" regarding Schreber "in the most intimate juncture of the feeling of life in the subject." So, feeling of life in the subject or feeling of ex-sist of the parlêtre ?.

Eighth Class: “L’affecte d’ex-ister, support du symptôme”
By Marie-Hélène Brousse
Established by: Rosana Montani
In this last class, Marie Hélène Brousse addresses what Lacan called, in his Seminar RSI, “L’affecte d’ex-ister, support du symptôme”. Currently, the identity becomes hard and aims to take the place of the master-signifier. It is present on all fronts. A psychoanalysis attempts to treat what is wrong in these contemporary entanglements with identity. A speaking body never touches the being by the signifier, but psychoanalysis can find an irreducible Real that returns to the same place.
