The WAP at the UN. The parellel event: "Gender equality and Sexual Diversity in relation to the empowerment of Women: A Psychoanalytic Point of View"

The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is a functional commission of the UN-Women in the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), which admitted the WAP as an NGO with special consultant status, and as such -in the context of its 59th Session entitled "Gender equality and the empowerment of women"-, the WAP organized the Parallel Event: "Gender Equality and Sexual Diversity in relation to the Empowerment of Women: A Psychoanalytic Point of View ". The event took place on Thursday 19th March, in one of the auditoriums of the NGOs Forums, the Church Center for the United Nations, a building belonging to the complex of the United Nations in New York.
Marie-Cristina Aguirre is a psychoanalyst in New York, AME, member of the NEL-NLS and the WAP.
Marie-Hélène Brousse is a psychoanalyst in Paris, AME, member of the ECF and the WAP. Editor in chief of the journal of the ECF "La cause du désir".
Gil Caroz is a psychoanalyst in Brussels, AME, member of the ECF and the WAP. He teaches at the Clinical Section in Brussels.
The table was coordinated by Yotuart Elberbaum, israeli psychoanalyst, member of the NLS and of the WAP.
