On June 13th and 14th, 2026, the XXII National Meeting of the SLP, “Well-Being and Well-Saying: Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis,” took place in Milan. We are pleased to present it, in Italian, “The Unbearable and Self-Hatred,” a lecture by Ricardo Seldes, President of the World Association of Psychoanalysis (WAP), followed by a conversation with Domenico Cosenza. This year’s SLP meeting placed a highly topical debate at the center of its discussions: What distinguishes psychotherapy from psychoanalysis today? Ricardo Seldes opened the discussion by introducing the theme of the next WAP Congress in 2028: “The Unbearable.”
