Initiation to the Joycean Universe Series: Who knows James Joyce? Third Encounter: "Joyce and Women"
Participants: Sergio Larriera, Ana Hornero, Barbara Arizti, Constanza del Río e Ignacio Guillén. The Library of the Lacanian Orientation of Aragón, together with the “Teatro de las Esquinas” theatre, the “Teatro del Temple” theatre, "Cálamo” bookshop, several professors of the University of Zaragoza, as well as other professors, writers, actors and musicians who love James Joyce's work, organise in Zaragoza the Series "Who knows James Joyce?" This third meeting: "Joyce and women" attempted to give an idea of the important role played by women in the life and work of the writer James Joyce. Thus, Mary Jane Murray, Nora Barnacle, Lucia Joyce, Amalia Popper, but also Evelyn -the "Birdgirl" in "Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man"- and Molly Bloom were present in the interventions by various participants of this cycle. They traced for us their reliefs as well as their diverse readings of the texts. Sergio Larriera, Ana Hornero, Barbara Arizti, Constanza del Río and Ignacio Guillén were in charge of the interventions and readings. Music by Carlos Revuelto and Ana Hornero, and voice by Clara Lorente.
