Mallarmé revisited
In 2014 an unheard-of experience occurred in the EBP, mobilised by the launch of Joseph Attié's book in Portuguese. This book is an in depth study on poetry and psychoanalysis, focused on Lacan and Mallarmé. This book mobilised the entire Brazilian analytic community, whose study groups, seminars in the different sections of the EBP, produced a number of texts. These were in turn edited and published in the Journal "Correo" Nº 75, as a result of this intense elaboration. Mallarmé, together with Lacan and Attié, composes sediments of the Brazilian culture, both in literature and in translation, which become now solidified through this work carried out by the analysts of the Freudian Field. Joseph Attié hereby presents his books, “Mallarmé The Book” addressing the Brasilian community, the analysts who are his peers, as well as the intellectuals and everyone else who is touched by the mystery of the speaking-being. Joseph Attié is a psychoanalyst in Paris, Analyst Member (AME) of the EBP, ECF, NLS and the WAP. "I was born in a country of the Middle East, I was raised with different two languages, Arabic and French. It is the latter that finally brought me to Paris for my studies and where I undertook analysis. A double question always accompanied me: about psychoanalysis and about poetry. Many enigmas and attempted answers have emerged." Gleuza Salomon is member of the EBP and the WAP. She collaborates for Radio Lacan in Brazil.
