Night of the Library at EOL, THEATRUM MUNDI? Ennia Favret interviews Mauricio Kartun.
On Thursday, the 13th of June, a night of the library was held at the EOL Buenos Aires section. The special guest on this occasion was Mauricio Kartun, dramatist and director of Argentine theater. The conversation revolved around his work "Terrenal", in which he imagines how Cain continues to kill Abel in a conurbation of the suburbs. A quote from the text "On the Fast Night, Air From Foxtrot" by Kartun himself framed the conversation of the night: "Mix waste, I have never done anything else by writing my pieces. Stacking waste from the imaginary and redeeming it internally with the vulgar spell of the act. Poetic: to combine combinatorial elements -images and words in their majority, but also procedures and genres- whose exclusive characteristic has been the uselessness, the anachronism, to recombine them in a new significant whole "(Writings (1975-2005)).
